  • Date: 22.07.2026
  • We are pleased to congratulate Dr.-Ing. Martin Feick and Dr. Felix Kretzer on receiving the Early Career Teaching Award from the KIT Department of Business and Economics for their M.Sc. course Engineering Interactive Systems: AI & Wearables. The award recognizes outstanding teaching by early-career researchers at the faculty.

The course introduces students to the development of interactive systems that combine wearable sensing, AI, and human-centered design. Alongside lectures and practical exercises, students worked on an industry-supported capstone project in collaboration with VisualVest, where they developed prototypes of biosignal-aware investment applications and presented their results to representatives from industry. The course was supported by M.Sc. Chiara Krisam, who contributed to the successful delivery of the hands-on teaching activities.

The redesigned course received the maximum Teaching Quality Index (LQI) of 100 and an overall evaluation grade of 1.33.

Congratulations to Martin, Felix, and Chiara on this achievement!
